Planning, Building Regs and Party Walls
Many loft conversions can be done under permitted development, as long as they stay within the volume limits and any dormer doesn’t face the road. Some will need planning permission, and every loft conversion needs building regulations approval, covering things like the stairs, fire safety and insulation.
